Nothing too exciting to report work-wise, worked both places today but it was super chill in both so It went by pretty quick honestly!

SO MY SATURN RETURN STARTS IN LIKE. 6 DAYS LMFAOOO. I have been dreading this moment for a while and honestly can I just skip forward to 30 and call it a day? T.T I'm a natal Pisces Saturn and it is in the 7th hous, which deals with relationships, so. What the next three years will bring for me, relationship wise is going to be a giant ass mystery 😭 Saturn returns always coincide with major life changes too so gahhh I don't know man but we shall see ig !

Anyway 'tis a short post but that's all for today!

something something I'M TRYING TO BE CONSISTENT something something

So I worked today, super short shift though and I ended up taking a little nap afterwards! Nothing to crazy happened at work, other than like two checkers calling out but hey, normal day at work lmfao.

Literally, all I did today was chill, and honestly I definitely need it! It's weird though, there's a little part of my brain that is like "You will work your body to the ground in order get money" and I'm like?? hey?? perhaps chill?? I READ THIS REALLY GOOD SAMFRODO FIC EARLIER TODAY TOO AND BOYYYYYY!!! Ugh, I talked about it with Bean but it was so good that it makes me wanna write too!!

The power did go out for a bit but once it came back I played some Stardew with Bean and the lads! Overall 10/10 day, sadly I work double shifts tomorrow and Thursday but ! It shall be ok ! That's all for now!

THE RETURN OF THE KING

Just kidding, but I am back! And my, has it been a while since my last entry 😅 I did say I was bad at keeping journals at the start of this! But anyway, new year new me and all that jazz, I'm gonna try to consistent this year at least!

Work was pretty chill, actually a lot chiller than what I expected for a Saturday but I'm not complaining! I've been thinking about reactivating my twitter again, mostly out of missing my friends on there but it's been so peaceful without it actually LMFAO. I very much needed to go out and touch grass and just be more offline in general lately and it's definitely been helping but, I do miss the boathouse babies.

ALSO IM PUTTING THIS HERE FOR THE SAKE OF ACCOUNTABILITY: I WILL POST THE HANAHAKI FIC THIS YEAR AND IDC HOW I DO IT BUT I WILL. This bad boy has been brewing in my head since like, last year and I refuse to let another year go by without me doing nothing about it! I've already started looking over and editing the parts I already written when NaNo was still going on but it looks like I might be changing some stuff around. Either way, THIS FIC SHALL GET DONE

Work-wise, same old same old, nothing new to report!

I woke up this morning, and I actually needed a jacket when I stepped out. FALL'S FINALLY HERE LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!! To celebrate, I think I might make some minestrone Friday! I very much am a soup lad, and it's been a hot minute since I last had minestrone! I've never made it myself though but I found this recipe: https://www.loveandlemons.com/minestrone-soup/ ! It looks good and the reviews seem pretty positive so I'm stoked!

I finally, for the most part, have like a broad summary for my nano outline! I'm pretty happy with it so far, now I'm gonna need to figure out how I'm gonna split this down over like 12 chapters 🫠 I've never been much of an outline person, usually I just have like a scuffed bullet point list of stuff I want to happen and then like figure it out from there. I mean, I could do that still for this, but like, I think I'll drive myself mad if I did LOL I mean, it's 50k words after all LMAO. I'm nervous if this will even be enough for 50k BUT WE GOT THIS!!

finally, I finished out the day playing lotro with bean and kylie! GOOD GOD so when I was playing with bean, we finished out the last fall festival quest Bingo gives and it was so sad?? so he sends you out to find out if wistmead is haunted, which takes you to Michel Delving to search for clues. You find out the area near wistmead once belonged to a hobbit named Halson Cleary and the posthobbit had a stack of undelivered letters to Cleary. THE WRITERS. DID NOT. NEED TO MAKE IT SO SAD!! he was ostracized by his neighbors save for Ivy Redsmith, who kept writing him letters all through the fell winter until she probably died from it :( and then Halson died all alone in his big house thinking no one cared for him :((( even now writing about it I'm getting sad LMAOO. Anyway long story short, we scare off the spirit that haunted Halson's farmhouse and his corpse gets buried with Ivy's letters :')

God, I love hobbits so much 🫠 Anyway, that's my day!

I meant to post an entry Sunday night but I ended up falling asleep oops 😅

SO didn't happen on Sunday but! over the weekend I played lotro with bean and it just so happened to be hobnanigans weekend! IT WAS PERHAPS THE MOST HOBBIT THING I HAVE EVER SEEN LMAOO. ok so, think of soccer but with a chicken instead of a ball! bean and I got our shit absolutely rocked the very first try, but once we got the hang of it, it was pretty fun! sadly, we couldn't play 1v1 because the people around us would not leave a field alone to us which sucked but we spent the downtime making up samfrodo and samfrosie headcanons, the way god intended lotro to be played. unrelated to hobnanigans, but I have been finding myself wanting to to wrote so much fic after I'm doing playing lotro for some reason? I guess it just helps running around the shire and actually interacting with the environment that makes my brain cells go nyoooom. I'm so sad hobnanigans isn't coming back until December but in the meantime, harvestmath starts this week!

so when I got home, I decided to check my solar return chart for next year and I just realized my Saturn return starts next year as well :DDDD as a Saturn-dominant person, the next three years are gonna be something else like take a look:

I'm still looking through my placements rn but laughing at the pisces rising for next year (my natal chart has like. so few water placements so to have one in my big 3 for my solar return is kinda funny to me not gonna lie lmaoo).

Work is still the same but I get the next couple days off, so hopefully I get to spend it getting ready for nano! but yeah, that's been the past few days!

I spent the better half of this afternoon like glued to writing out some fics and I've been making some pretty great progress actually! Ideally, I would like to get these out before nano starts but maybe I'll get two out at most, which is totally fine!

SPEAKING OF NANO, I decided to go with the samfrodo hanahaki au and I'm really excited! I've been thinking about how I would try to make hanahaki disease hobbity and how they would approach going about it and I've got a few ideas so far. I've been trying to come up a name for it but like, I'm pretty bad at naming stuff so I'll just focus on that later LMAOO

anyway, gonna take a break for dinner and then write some more before the new trop episode drops!

I've skipped a few days because I felt like I've been doing the exact same things for the past few days that I didn't think it was worth an entry, but some things did happen here and there and I did wanna share!

Ok, so on Sunday (I'm like sure it was Sunday the days are starting to blend in lmao) Bean and I played lotro and we visited Yondershire! LET ME TELL YOU, YONDERSHIRE IS GORGEOUS !! I will start bugging the lotro devs to revamp the original shire because between The Shire and Yondershire, Yondershire felt way more lived in and thought out than The Shire and I don't get why?? Like, we visited some NPC's smial and it had way more detail and was finished as opposed to Bag End. You would think the home that belonged to the main character of the story you're making an mmo out of would have its interior all finished but nope! Even the taverns were way more livelier than The Shire ones. We visited like two taverns and those two places were PACKED with hobbits, it was wild! Like I was taken aback when I loaded into the first one, I have never seen a shire tavern that busy before! Granted they are NPCs, but it really does add to the atmosphere, like it's so sad to see The Ivy Bush and The Green Dragon be so empty with like a handful of NPCs here and there. And no tavern was alike either! I believe the first one we visited was in Tighfield and it was a rather cozy establishment but when we went over to Gamwich, the tavern had a hunter/game vibe to it! I thought it was very thoughtful and now it makes me wonder how Long Cleeve's inns and taverns look like! ALSO GAMWICH IS NOW MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE GAME NEXT TO EVENDIM, IT IS SUCH A GORGEOUS LITTLE VILLAGE!! It's situated right under like a forest canopy with all the trees towering over the smials and we came during the night, so the lighting made it absolutely dreamy! It was so much fun coming up with cute head canons with Bean about the area and how frodo and sam would fit into it! I'm itching to get back on to lotro soon because I gotta see how the rest of the area looks like!

Work is work, as usual but! we did get a new store manager this week. I only had the chance to talk to him like once so far, but he seems ok? I've been hearing lots of conflicting stories about him from some co-workers who did work with him at different stores but I think it's still too early for me to decide if I like him or not. For the most part, he seems chill and has a hand-crushing handshake lmaoo. OH, and today specifically, a regular at the store (and probably one of the handful of regulars that I actually enjoy) is apparently moving away and today she stopped by and gave me a going away present: a scented candle and a little bag of chocolates! I thought it was really sweet and she said she was gonna miss me the most and like I almost sobbed on the spot lmaoo (not really but I thought it was sweet!).

Currently, I'm working on a little ficlet for tolkientober because I've had like zero energy this week (most of it is because of work but also I haven't really been taking good care of myself lately but it's been getting better) to work on the main fic I'm working on. I think it's funny that whenever I have these sorts of days, I tend to gravitate towards samfrosie LMAO. And I mean, why not? They're the embodiment of coziness and I just wish I have what they haveee 😭 Since I'm talking about writing, nanowrimo has been more and more on my mind now that it's getting closer and I think I might just end up doing it lol. NOT THE FULL 50k BUT LIKE 30k AT MOST 😭 I do have one fic idea that I have sitting there for like months and I was gonna just make it a one-shot, but I think this would be a perfect one to expand out to novella-length for nano. Even if I don't end up finishing nano, I'm proud of myself regardless. As of right now, I have published 7.4k words on ao3 this year and while that may not sound like a lot, from going from absolute zero this time last year to now is like a major improvement. I'm happy that I'm writing for myself now I can only hope my writing will improve back to what it was when I used to write fic super regularly 🙏

I'm very chatty today but yeah, that's been the past few days!

I'm on day 6 of working 7 days straight and I'm so ready for my day off 😭

There's fics I wanna work on really badly but I have like zero energy once I get home besides eating and like relaxing before bed. Hopefully because my shift is pretty short today I might able to work on something when I get back but I'm trying not to push it too much. However, come my day off it will be nothing but like writing and like lotro lmaoo (made some notes on notes app last night about a fic and I really wanna get it down!).

so I've been here for a few days already, and I think I can safely say that I kinda like it here a lot better than on twitter lmaoo. I love all my friends I've made over there to death but like, that's like one of the things keeping on there LMAO I honestly hate how any innocuous tweet you might make has the chance to skyrocket out of your circle. I know it's fun to say "oh haha hit tweet!", but it's so annoying when things get out of the circle. Like I literally just want my friends to see my posts like who the hell invited all 500 of you?? 😭

So as much as I like the.prompts for this year's tolkientober, I found that not a whole lot of them lend themselves well for fic writing. Which is alright for me! Luckily there are a few I do have some ideas for, and what's even cooler is I found this prompt list earlier today:

So my new plan is to do the ones I had for tolkientober (maybe even combine them days off here idk) and then pick some from here! I'll cross post to ao3 and here obvi but yeah, I'm really excited about this! I love any excuse to samfro it up for any seasonal occasion lmao

GIVE IT UP FOR DAY 3 OF KEEPING UP WITH A JOURNAL 🥳

So went back to work after being off for 4 days, and then I found out I'm working for the next 7 days straight! Fun! At the very least, there's a very late short shift so it's not too terrible but still it's so annoying when they pull this.

TROP THURSDAY, TROP THURSDAY!! Episode 6 is by far the best episode of the season! That whole episode was such a trip, and how Mt. Doom exploded?? I wouldn't have even thought about that! I'm not a big fan of haladriel honestly, not because she ends up with celeborn but if halbrand does indeed turn out to be Sauron, I'm not a huge fan of the "actually dating the enemy in disguise and then ends up betraying the other" because it almost always goes into "betrayed one doesn't trust anyone anymore and it takes the other to teach them again". They're alright tropes if they're done well but most of the time it isn't imo. But will trop execute it well? Who knows! Also keeping my haladriel thoughts here instead of twitter LMAOOO

It's so hard to wind down after that episode but I'm gonna try and maybe work on some fics before I get ready for bed. That's basically my day!

Alright, finally figured out what I'm gonna do if I don't post fics: keep like a little journal here! Although, we shall see how long this shall last as I notoriously cannot keep up with a physical journal :')

Big news: I'M BACK ON MY ANTIDEPRESSANTS! A while ago my insurance had messed up on their end and ended up dropping me on accident and even after I cleared that up, I thought 'Oh well, I've been doing fine without them, I think I'm good!' *moves in closer and whispers* they were in fact not fine. I'm happy that I finally convinced myself to get back on them, and hopefully we'll see how Wellbutrin treats this time around!

Also, I got a call for an interview! I've been looking around for a second job and literally last night I applied to this one place and I wasn't expecting them to answer back so soon lmaoo. Luckily it is a recorded video interview so no pressure or anything! Although it is going to be so funny if I do get hired and I have to sit through their anti-union training as a union worker at my first job :')

Anyway, closed out the day with some lotro with my pal Bean! I love running around The Shire with him, it's always such a vibe! Yeah sure, we don' get much questing done but do we speculate on the sexual doings of Samwise Gamgee and Frodo Baggins? Oh absolutely! We'll eventually venture out of The Shire someday!

Right now, I'm gonna work on some fics and hopefully if Kylie is down, I'll head back on lotro for a bit before bed!

Anyway, that's my day!
